Autumn Harbinger
I would love to welcome in the Fall with this sweet little poem I wrote a few years ago. I have been on a long absence, taking time for learning and healing. I may discuss my journey in more depth in future posts. I will be easing my way back into posting more art, poems, and short stories.
Until next Time, have a wonderful fall ✨🍂
Poem
Autum Harbinger
The morning moonlight softly lit the sky over the deep valley. The Harbinger awakened, emerging from the first ripe pumpkin of the patch.
Excited for a play, he howled at the glimpse of sunlight.
Lurking and searching the nearby forest, he looked high & low until he saw it —the gem of all wood, the oldest tree standing marvelously, she looked.
He cast a circle upon her rough bark. Knocked three times, within seconds, her leaves changed with the magic he sparked.
As this occurs, the rest follows, for beneath the ground, the roots are not shallow; they are tangled and mangled, sharing one heart, as we do on the surface; they find light in the dark.
The sky grew covered in clouds, and the wind had a chill that brought loved ones together for haunting thrills.
Time to move more slowly when daylight grows shorter, the gentle winding down from a blazing hot summer. Do gather for warm hugs and kisses, share bountiful meals, and play in your blisses.
The season has transitioned, with gratitude filling his heart; he lies in rest for the next year to start—Goodnight to the Harbinger, Autumn's Mystic.

What beauty and magic, the Harbinger and this tree bring. Thank you for this sweet poem and mystical art welcoming Autumn.🍂
